What is this 

Program

We value getting kids moving and participating in recreational or sporting activities that improve physical, social and emotional wellbeing.  Bridging the gap between disability and participation is where occupational therapy sits. We use carefully considered activities to develop skills.

Purpose of the Program

The Social Playground is designed to deliver meaningful activities that facilitates social communication, emotional regulation and skill development whilst your child continues to work towards their functional goals. It's an adventure of action, games, movement and fun.

Who this Program is for

The Social Playground is an engaging and inclusive program designed to foster social communication, emotional regulation, and overall skill development in children aged 8 to 12 years. Join us to experience carefully curated activities that develop skills and support meaningful engagement.

Objectives of the Program

Our aim is to develop a movement based program with a social edge where children can build connections in a supportive environment.

Make new friends and create lasting connections.

Learn a variety of new skills in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Develop emotional regulation strategies in real-life contexts.

Interact with peers and enhance social communication skills.

Improve body awareness and coordination through movement-based activities.

Experience the joy of playing cool games and having fun!

What to Expect

Group program 

Goals and activities are targeted towards developing foundational skills. 

A secure and caring environment to promote engagement and learning. 

Children starting at different levels and meeting the child at their level. 

A capacity building program focused on functional goals.

Qualified program facilitator to provide guidance and encourage participation. 

To support your child's development and independence to ensure they reach their potential and to be able to engage in meaningful activities.

Program Dates - Term 1

Time: 4:00pm - 5:30pm, every Friday

Dates: 23rd Jan - 27th March, 2026

Age range: 8 years to 12 years (Pre-teens)

Program Fees: 10 week program: The cost is $1939.90

Venue: Unit 35, 7 Anella Road, Castle Hill

Closing Date for Enrolment: 

16th January, 2026

Spots are limited in this group setting and enrolment needs to be confirmed. 

The option to use your NDIS funding is available for this program. 

Please Note: Each parent will be asked to complete a Program Questionnaire to ensure we consider all the necessary variables to be inclusive and safe. Some children may require a support worker or parent/guardian to attend, this will be discussed prior to the program and will need to be arranged by the parent. As this program is offsite, we will need to ensure the safety of all kids attending.
